Looking back....

​

The 1st GCTS conference in Cape Town from 12-14 December 2023 was by all accounts a resounding success. It was attended by over 160 participants spanning 21 countries. The programme of oral and poster presentations provided rich pickings, diverse content, and interesting discourse over the three days - all in a relaxed, intimate, and socially pleasant setting. The conference sparked much enthusiasm among mental health practitioners and researchers to join GCTS project collaborations and/or keep abreast of GCTS activities. Attendees also put forward great suggestions for the inclusion of new GCTS themes. 

This 1st conference sets the stage for many more GCTS conferences. We await the next one in India, where we can reconnect and share new research data generated over the ensuing year, with huge excitement. See you there!

Award winners

Three esteemed jury members, Eva Alisic, Monique Pfaltz and Georgina Spies, carefully listened to the flash talk poster presentations (see program) and evaluated them for scientific rigor, originality, creativity and presentation.
